So this ended up on my hubby's facebook. He joked he wanted 5. He's not getting 5 that big but it scales down nicely.

First attempt. Vintage corduroy.

Second attempt. 100% cotton pajama pants and polyester/cotton microfiber. Cheap felt for eyes.

In hindsight, I probably should have started with something simpler. On the other hand, they are really cute, and it's a good use for some fabric I wouldn't have used otherwise.

Awesome! I made a squid once too, very fun. I liked making all the tentacles. The pirate squid is inspired.

Nice.
Needs some of this stuff for posing.
And maybe googly eyes.

EDIT:I forgot to say.. Thank you!!! I hadn't thought of making them pose-able but it is an awesome idea! It also might help me solve one of my problems with Ciero's tail. Sorry I forgot. >_< Thanks!!!

Googly eyes aren't as good for cuddling as the felt ones, also they weird me out, as do alot of doll eyes. >_>

I took a moment before I clicked the link....Why would a squid need obitsu parts? :click: Oh! Those thingies! I have seen the basic skeleton thing sold locally, but I can't remember at which store. Then I remembered seeing them when I was wig shopping. Then a search to find one of the places that sold it with domestic shipping rates. Now I'm wondering how I would do the armature, since the tentacles are separately sewn pieces. Just leave the bones floating in them?

:checks hobby money jar: hmmm, not this month. I got some time to figure it out.

Ships from the US, same stuff, my bad math says nearly same price.

Psst, how many tickles does it take to make a squid laugh?

Ten.
