I love to sew, and I love dolls, so most of the time, I sew for my dolls. However, I've been feeling the burnout on sewing doll clothes, I'm just not up for it right now. But I'm still dying to sew! SOOOOOO I started sewing plushies today. Starting simple. This is a green tea mochi plush. I handstitched every seam and hand painted the face. Pattern is from Etsy.

Plushie pattern store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CholyKnight

I also cut out the pieces for 3 other plushies today, I will post them here as I finish them.

My second plush from the Japanese snacks pattern bundle is the Onigiri! This didn't come out quite as nicely as I'd hoped, I could have centered the face better and made it larger. It was harder to judge since it's not as symmetrical as the mochi ball. But, these are exercises to learn from, and I am learning, so it is a success!

Being slightly off is what makes it so cute, though! Plus, it's more realistic. Rice balls usually aren't absolutely perfect when you make them yourself, so a plushy having slight imperfections makes it realistic.

Yeah. Like Kattriella said. I like its lean.

I gravitate to the slightly off plushies, they have personality!

You'll just have to hug the lumps a bit harder to smooth them out.

I like how Onigiri came out. The face is so cute. Did you paint it? I love that smile!

Yes, I paint on the eyes, mouth, and other details. Painting individual scales on this fish took a while. I haven't decided if the end result was worth the time yet.
