Building a House

For my birthday I was lucky enough to be able to purchase my very first dollhouse kit. I've wanted one since I was 13 so I figured it was finally time. I would like to keep you guys updated on my progress if anyone is interested in watching this house come to life. This house is what prompted me to buy my first Azone Picco Neemo since they're 1/12 scale I figured she would be the perfect occupant. Eventually I plan on doing photostories with her as well but for now here's the start of my dollhouse building journey!
I've been meaning to post these for a while now so there's a bit of a backlog. Hope you don't mind!
Here's a link to my Pinterest where I'm gathering ideas.
Here's the kit in all it's glory!
I decided to go ahead and punch out all of the singles first since the project was a little intimidating... omg so many shingles. It took me three days to punch them all and they're still not sanded. I'm not looking forward to that. Finn and Link are pretending to help.
Steps are sanded and painted, time to put them together!
I think they came out pretty spifftastic.
I relocated to the front glass table since I figured this project was going to take a while. No need to keep my kitchen table filled with dollhouse parts. Walls are all punched out.
Mei checking out her new digs. She really is the perfect size for this house. <3
What respectable New Orleans home doesn't have a haint blue porch ceiling?
