Getting acrylic paint to stick

If you're having trouble getting acrylic paint to stick to plastic try painting on a thin layer of craft acrylic with a chalk finish first. It gives a bit of a surface tooth for the other paint to cling to. If it's not with the little bottles of acrylic check where the wood and sign painting stuff is. It behaves like other craft acrylic.
