Styling a boy wig: what do you use as gel/wax?

You did WHAT? WHERE?? HOW??? Share the knowledge or explain once again why we use chalk pastels and not oils.

Styling a boy wig: what do you use as gel/wax?

Postby Evelien » Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:32 pm

Pretty much what I'm asking in the title. I know that hair can be styled into curls by using hot water for example, but what if I want my boy's hair to be combed back or styled straight up? Is there something I can use as gel or wax? I haven't been able to find info on this anywhere so far.

-edit- OMG, post #4000, I didn't even realize. This is so embarrassing. XD Doctor of Dollology! LOL!

hehe ccongrats on your doctorate ^_^

I've read that you can use hair wax, I assume gel, but don't remember reading much about that.
Conditioner or leave in conditioner apparently works wonders for dolly wigs as well. Actually adds a certain amount of hold too, not much, but if you're looking for something light you could try that. I've used regular conditioner on some of my wigs a few times. Like you some hair you can just wet and condition a little, then set in a shape, let it dry and it's done.

Right after I posted, I decided to just go ahead and try. At least now I deserve that PhD

I used my boyfriend's Syoss 'extreme styling-paste' ^^
