Disadvantage to gluing doll stand together?

I've got one of
these doll stands for my Blythe, and it comes apart really easily (post from the base.) I think I'm just going to glue it together, but thought I'd ask if anyone could think of any disadvantages to that before I do it.

The only thing I can think of is for storage purposes. Other than that, I don't see why not. I've glued one of mine (metal stand with hot glue and it came apart again in no time).

Thanks! I was thinking how care-free it would be but then another part of my brain was like "what if you're missing something really obvious?" LOL!
