I would not recommend hot glue sueding - you risk damaging the doll. Moleskin, like that used for feet, can be used, with the sticky on one side. However, some sticky glues will soften on contact with vinyl. The best way would probably be to get the silicone kips. http://cgi.ebay.com/CoolCat-Soft-Silico ... 230ae4b17d

I've never heard of their glue harming vinyl. It's safe to use moleskin on resin, though, right? It won't have the problem of softening the material?

What of doing the moleskin, but using a different material? I haven't heard many good reviews of the silicone disks. Perhaps if you find a vinyl safe glue, and use felt? I don't know, now, actually, as this is the first time hearing about a problem with glue and vinyl. Zirc, is there a list of glues that harm vinyl?

Why questions are always welcome! We love to be helpful :)

part of the problem with posing a Delilah Noir is that she's not built like a traditional bjd or one of the Obitsu style. Though she has elastic holding her head in it doesn't run all the way through the body to the knees/ankles elbows/wrists. Kips and sueding probably wouldn't help much based on my experience with mine. Plus in order to put either technique in the knee/elbow joints you'd have to figure out how to take them apart. So far I have been able to pull the feet off (cause I HAVE to remove that horrible pink toenail polish), but no luck with elbow or knee joints. I've read about people breaking the feet off already so I know you have to be careful with her! (the feet, btw, are not jointed, they are just shoved in on pegs).

I'm not sure if there is a lot you can do to improve her - she is fundamentally not really designed to be "played" with the way we do, but as more of a collectable to have on a shelf. Which, of course, none of us want to do with our dolls LOL. Don't know if you have one with flat feet or the high heel feet (which are the only ones mine - Dark and Defiant - came with unfortunately), but I know the high heel sort will not stand independantly :( Even with her limitations though, she is still a world better than the "over the counter' fashion dolls like Moxie and Liv (yes, I've bought them so I know what I'm talking about)

I'm sure your daughter will love to have her - which one did you get?

The glue doesn't hurt the vinyl, the glue just gets soft and messy eventually and you need to clean it off. So actually, the vinyl hurts the glue. Sorry I wasn't clear. Sounds like the Delilah's have other posing issues. I haven't played with one, so I am glad someone here has them and can say.

AH! I see now, thank you! Good to know. So it's not harming the doll's material, it's gumming it up that is the problem. Geeze that's a frightening thought. I have a hard enough time with Mini Ringmaster, I'm glad I found out about this before I ruined what I had!

I was able to use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser to get some wig sticky residue off my Obitsu 60.
