Does anyone know how to contact the video makers? They've got problems.
I started the "Beginners" series, and got as far as the one on Budgeting for Your Doll. I figured, why not? I my car has been in the shop at least once a month for seven of the last twelve months. Budget is an issue for me, even though I really just want to make a small order of 1/6 Obitsu stuff and some Mr. Super Clear from Junkyspot.
But the person in the budget video starts throwing out examples of how to save money for a doll. Her first is for a teenage girl saving $50 a month - the video says this person can afford a $300 doll in four months (because of shipping).
Nope. It would take six months for the $300, plus another month (at least) for shipping.
Does anyone have a way to contact her to let her know that this video has some serious math errors? It sort of makes me think that the rest of the series is either poorly thought out or badly edited. I mean, this one has been up for over a year and no one mentioned the math error (or the creators do know about it but didn't reshoot the video or otherwise edit it to indicate the correct numbers).
I'm not on DOA, so I can't even PM Splynterhayde, who made the video.

If you click on comments for that video, there are at least 2 people who have complained about the inaccuracies of this video. It's a start? If you have a youtube, you could always send a message thru that.

I'm sorry. I didn't really watch the Budgeting video. I do like some of their other videos. I'm a visual person and like to see how stuff is done :)

Visuals are good! Maybe I'll try one of those. I must have just picked the wrong one. Maybe something on types of synthetic wig or hair fibers.
I looked at the comments - how did I miss those? (Oh, I went and looked - their channel view does not include the comments right under the video - you have to click through a link to even see them). I'm surprised that they haven't edited it though - why not add in some text that clarifies the math.
