So my husband bought Mother of Pearl buttons to replace on that snapped off his snazzy new PJs. We already asked the company if they would replace it and they said no. So, whatever, they're cheap it get. The buttons he got ended up a bit too big for the buttonhole so now I'm stuck filing this one down to size. Though, it's taking forever. I'm using a nail file, is there anything else I should use? To get this to move along?

Nail files don't have a lot of filing power. I would say use a real file you find ind a hardware store and file gently. Don't get one that has super big teeth tho. Finish it up with fine sand paper.

Get a jewelry file. They're really helpful for doing filing on dolls, too! I'm not sure how readily available they are in stores, but you should easily find one online.
Just checked, and yep:

This is going to sound weird but you know those Pedi-Claws nail things that they sell for doing pet manicures? They make the best little craft sanding machine for little jobs like this. My animals hated it for manicures. But I found another use for it, grin.
