Can anyone tell me, when using MSC in conjunction with pastels, prismacolours or acrylics... how long do I need to leave it to dry before I start working the second layer?

I hope it's not overnight Or this will take forever.

I think it's about 10-15 minutes . I usually wait a little bit longer just to make sure it's dry.

I've ended up wiping the thing off and starting over. That's the lovely thing abut this Winsor & Newton brush cleaner I've decided to try, it's awesome, and wipes clean every time!

that's winsor and newton for you!!! they are amazing in all regaurds!

yeah... i usually cant wait that long, but ive been doing ceramic lately and it tends to dry faster... maybe the clay soaks it up??? I dunno it's usually dry by the time i finish spraying...

Yeah, they do make really good art supplies.

I found the first coat on the vinyl head dried fast, but subsequent coats took a little longer. It seems like good stuff though. I'd imagine with using clay it would suck up all the moisture from MSC a lot quicker. My only problem is that here in the UK, MSC is hard to find. I had to order mine from China and it took 8 weeks to get here because they have to send it by surface mail. So I don't want to use up too much of mine.

Honestly, if you do the thin layers you are supposed to... I spray out the back door, and by the time I close it and walk back upstairs to the loft, it's dry. Humidity CAN interfere though and if you live in a humid climate it might take longer.

I found it hard to get the layers thin, I tried to spray lightly, but the can is so frisky. On an old practice doll, it just soaked the whole face in a split second!

Don't spray it right at the doll... start the spray then swipe across the face, back, up... and that should be enough for in between layers.
