Dollar 1/6 practice heads

Postby Gift_in_Edge » Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:29 pm

Not sure is this is the right for this post but, Dollar Tree has doll sized styling heads for (you guessed it) $1. They have a light skin blond and brunette and a dark skin with black hair.

Here's a crap picture of mine. I left one side normal to compare with. After getting the factory face-up off it cleans easy. The stand makes it easy to hold. I think it's worth a buy just for the stand.

That's a pretty lousy looking factory face on the poor girl, but it doesn't look like the mold itself is any worse than Barbie. And, as luck would have it, I have to go up to the DMV sometime in the next couple weeks... which is near the Dollar Tree. I only get up there maybe once every other year or so, since I don't have a car that runs. I'll have to see if the Evil Overlord will allow me to run in and check for these. The hair seems to short to save, but I could likely reuse the heads, and the stands would be great for floating head organization and also maybe for holding them during faceups - attach head to this, clip Helping Hands clips onto the stand, and I'd have a free hand for a magnifying glass! Great find!

Look for headbands with hair attached to them in the toy section, it's super long and unique colors. I've seen these heads IRL and they look crappy but practice is practice.
