Added this on DOA ages ago..figured I could add it here too...
This is a double tutorial since its made with the same supplies....
ya need:
6 plywood boxes...preferably the tea ones most craft stores seem to sell.....
various bits of wood
glue-gun
saw
paint
yarn/string
hammer
slotted screwdriver
small star screwdriver
This is for an msd/sd scale doll...but it should be easy to make other sizes from it to..depending on the boxes ya use....
The Wardrobe:
1: remove the inside completely from 2 of the 6 boxes...
2: then remove the back plate from 3 of the 6 boxes
I've done this with the use of an slotted screwdriver and an hammer.....just go around the glue seam and loosen it from the box
3: remove the lids from the 3 boxes ya didn't remove the backs of.
4: also remove the locking mechanism from the 3 lidless boxes
5: Then remove everything but the top section on 2 of the 6 boxes
6: the last 2 boxes will be the bottom of the wardrobe, so here it depends on yer own taste if you want to gut it or keep the sections as shelves...
7: glue the identical boxes to each other to make a bigger box
8: remove the top and bottom of the completely gutted box, and glue it to the bottom box
9: then remove the bottom of the last box, and glue it to the top.
10: add whatever details you want to the inside, and a bar for coat-hangers
continuing in the next post!
