Top Hat Tutorial

Postby Faydreams » Mon May 20, 2013 7:15 am

A long time ago on another dolly site I am a member of I ran across someone's post on making a Steam punk Top hat for their doll. They found this tutorial for making hats for people and resized it for their dolls. I tired it and it works in suede as well but you will have to wire the brim.

Here are my results.

Very cute, I have the original human sized instructions/pattern saved on my computer. Hadn't thought of scaling it for dolliehs though.

That is so pretty looking!! Good job! I love your doll too, I see she's a MyScene-Obitsu hybrid? Did you repaint her yourself?

Thank you.

Yes, that is a My Scene on a 25 cm obitsu. I did paint her.

I may have to give this a try in a really thin weight tooling leather... whenever I dig out my old leathercraft stuff and can go through it to see if I have enough. XD
