Rubbish?! I do not THINK (so)! Yes, I speak a little Russian. I learned many years ago.
Except- ужасно- "oozhasna" - in this instance is used to mean, "horrible, awful, etc." Not referring to the storyline but to what is happening in it.
For instance, if I were to see you and say,
"Как дела?" (kak dela- roughly translate to "how are things?"
And things were NOT going great, you might groaningly say,
"ужасно!!!"
This all makes it seem like I know more than I do. I know a teensy tiny bit of Russian, took a year of conversational Russian at the JC, but the teacher was the head of Slavic Studies at Stanford. She came up to Santa Rosa one day a week because her elderly parents lived there, and so taught three Russian courses at the JC while there. She was an incredible teacher. Also from Moskva.
