Having decided to take Hazel's advice, Ivan decided to make peace with the stray fairy that dropped in on their dinner table, and has since then caused a fair amount of trouble.
"Good afternoon, your highness. I'm afraid we didn't meet under the best of circumstances. Allow me to properly introduce myself." Ivan brought Foster a nice tray of tea and sweets, and explained his own circumstances, hoping that the fairy would see he wasn't a monster that needed vanquishing.



"From one royal to another, eh? Hmm. Yours is an unfortunate circumstance." Foster Fee leaned forward. "I understand, and shall not cause trouble. Now, if you will release me I will be on my way."



"Splendid. I'm glad that was settled amicably."
"How's the eyesight?" Foster asked.
"Back to normal, thank you for asking."



Prince and former king chatted about the sorts of things a king and prince would chat about.



"So... vampire, tell me how you know so much of my homeland?"



"My intended is from the kingdom just south of yours." Ivan explained where Ginaphae was from, and how she came to be in this realm. "Perhaps she can help you return home?"



"Perhaps so." Foster Fee mused. Or perhaps it is a trick by one of my brothers...

"I shall take you to visit her." Ivan said. "As soon as the sun sets."



Will you really? We'll see about that.



"Ah, what a fine meal. Sweets really restore my magical abilities."



Ivan sighed. "Yes, well, mind the light-tricks won't you?"



"What is this nonsense!!! Cut it out you little ankle-biter!" I tried to be civil, I'm going to bite his neck out if he starts this up again.



"AHAAAA!!!!! Try to trick me into going places with you eh? I'm not THAT dumb!!!"

Ivan bellowed in anger at the magic of the fairy, but it sounded like a tiny little squeak, for he was the size of a mouse!



Squeak squeak squeak!!!!!



Ivan squealed and flailed his wee little arms, but now Foster was the giant, and the fairy prince leaned down and picked Ivan up in his arms.



"It's YOUR turn to stay in the cage, wretched vampire."



BITE! "OOoowwww!!!" Foster wailed. "Stop it you ... what did you call me? Ankle-biter? Aha! Who is the pestilence now?"



"Get in there. I will search for this Ginaphae myself. If you are telling the truth? Then I will let you out. If not... "



"You won't get away with this!!!" Squeaked Ivan.

Foster quickly scampered toward the door, when he ran into Micah. "Oh, hey Foster. What's up?" Micah just assumed that he and Ivan worked things out.



"Thank you for your kindness toward me." Foster smiled.
"No problem, dude."



Foster checked Micah's neck, and scrutinized the human boy carefully. "You will truly assure me that you're in no danger here?"
"No, really, I'm fine. Ivan's cool." Micah smiled. He thought fairies were the bomb.
"I shall take my leave then."
"Call me if you need anything, Foster!" Micah waved goodbye and Foster skittered out the door and flew away.




Meanwhile...



"Dude. I ain't that high... you're actually tiny!"



"Slow down, man... slow down. You're squeaking at me, brah." Ryan shouted, "MIICCAAAHHHH!!! Dude, like, we've got a major problem."





Squeak squeak squeak... Mi-- cah!!



"Awww... geez, man."

"Oh man, what did you do this time? I thought you were gonna be nice!"



Squeak squeak... "Micah! I was nice! I'm gonna kill him!" squeak squeak....



"Well, I guess maybe... ah, I dunno man. What to do?"



"Dude, like, you're the one who knows like, all the magical people, not me. I guess see if they can fix him."



"This is just awful, Ryan! This is terrible. And Jillian doesn't know ANYTHING about him, how are we supposed to explain that?"



"Look to the bright side, dude. Least now he won't eat so much." Ryan grinned.
