"My eyes, my beautiful eyes, like rubies they were, and shone in the sun they did." The pitiful creature wept.
"I just want to sit on a rock and bask in the sun, I just want to be left alone." He sniffed. "I want no part in this at all."
"You may have your rock once you work off your debt to me." Foster Fee declared.
"Stupid naga, the most cowardly and pathetic beasts I've ever encountered. Vargas, can you do nothing right?" The naga didn't answer, he just covered his face and wailed.
"Stop your blubbering. It's embarrassing." Foster healed the damaged eyes with a huff.
"Now. We've lost the element of surprise, and that pathetic vampire has proven to be more of a handful than I thought."
"Why not just do it yourself?" Vargas asked as he touched his eyelids. "He and his friend are so small, it would be easy."
"I can't." Foster huffed. "Mine are light magics, I can't use them to end a life, or I will lose my powers. It doesn't stop me from making you do it, though."
Vargas sighed. He didn't see any easy way out of this mess.
