Rue: Dawww, look at that kitty yawn! I'm going to pet his fur.
Image
Rue: He's so soft and warm!
Image
Rue: Awww! He's sniffing me! Good kitty! I love you!....No kitty, I don't taste very good....
Image
Rue: ACK! I'm just trying to love you! Stop eating me!

Rue: I don't like that kitty. I like this kitty. She doesn't bite.

hahaha, maybe it has something to do with that color scheme of cat because my new kitteh, Chezare, is that same dark tabby and he likes to chew fingers as well. Haven't really introduced him to dolls beyond his constantly knocking ones off of the coffee table scent marking them....what I want to know is how the cat removed a pair of high tops off of an obitsu - granted they weren't tied, but even I have to pull them to take them off O.O!

*cracks up laughing* That was funny. I enjoyed this. Thankfully only one of my 3 cats shows any interest in my dolls. It's my youngest cat that likes to rub, lick and nuzzle into my dolls and mostly the ones with Mohair wigs. But for the most part they leave my dolls alone.

Part of the reason I got a shelf for them was because they did override my desk, and also the cat enjoyed playing "Let's see how many dolls I can knock over while pretending to just be interested in the window." He would bat at them, sometimes nibble, but mostly just knock them off like they were in HIS way. He's my dollieh bulldozer.

For a while I had to put every doll in the house up high on shelves where my girl cat couldn't reach because she had a chewing thing, but thankfully she seems over her fascination with my plastic people. She still cannot leave a beanie toy alone though and my Dad's little Elvis plushie is her favorite target when she is over there for a while.

My folks have partial custody of my 2 furballs. Yes, they're like my kids. It's a long story, but they have toys, dishes and a box over at my folks place too. They like to go visit Grandma and Grandpa once in a while to be spoiled for a few days. Not because I go away, just because my folks love them and do spoil them rotten. My folks just can't handle f/t pets anymore, but sharing mine makes them happy so I let them have them once in a while. They come over here almost every day to see them too. My cats live the life of Riley and so does my roommate's dog, who they also spoil rotten.

I've come to the conclusion that dolls must have some sort of essential nutrient that cats need in their diets.

Of course, following that logic so does carpet fuzz, pens, cardboard, books, chairs, cell phones, DVDs,etc... I guess cats are true omnivores.
