Hey!Hey!Hey! (#100) Happy Birthday, Kon-chan! 6-5-13

This week we have a special 'edition' of Hey!x3 since it's our 100th reenactment!! WOW! I can't believe we've made it this far!!!

Anyway, this special 100th photo is not officially a 'Hey!x3' photo but rather a photo that the guys took just a few days ago, for one of their friend's birthday!

It's a long(ish) story but 7 seiyuu made a 'unit' together of all seiyuu, born in 1978, and called themselves 'DABA' (or 'workhorses' in Japanese) since '78 is also the year of the horse. They even dress up with 'horse' heads for photoshoots.
These 7 guys are also now all great/best friends and try to get together when they can but it rarely happens that ALL 7 can converge at once. Pretty much the only times that has happened is for DVD programs featuring 'Daba' or a talk show.

But now, for Kondo Takayuki's birthday (one of the 7) they somehow all managed to get together for his big day! It was a real treat to him and we felt we'd like to commemorate our 100th 'episode' of doing these reenactments using this Daba photo from a few days ago!

Jun and Satoshi are also part of Daba, and they are on each end in this photo!

Anyway, on to the pictures!

I've been quietly admiring these (a lot) for some time now, and I have to ask... do you actually custom-make some of the clothing for these shoots, or do you just have such a huge collection of clothes that you can always find something appropriate? I'm thinking you must be making these yourself as needed -- here, for instance, the diagonal black/white stripes and the flannel are both matched really well...

Thanks so much, PumpkinGhost-san!! :hugs: We're really really pleased you like these!! They are fun, I think!! ^^

TsukinoKemuri-san----thank you!!! Your words made our day!!!!
To answer your question---yup! We make the clothing to match what the seiyuu is wearing. Thankfully, one of our usual 2 guys (Satoshi) from Hey!x3 wears many of the same pieces again and again, so, while we do have to make a bunch of outfits for him, it's not nearly as much as we have to make for the other guy! His wardrobe, by now, is 3 real (human) dresser drawers full! :laughs: He's running my sister out of her own clothing space! Jun seems to wear a new outfit all the time! He does say he's a clothes horse!

Thanks for noticing that and again, both of you, thanks so much for commenting!!!! :D

Wow, that is fantastic, impressive and just a little bit inspiring. It makes me want to dig out the sewing machine and get to work on getting my dolls outfitted. (I'll wait a bit, though, as I don't want to wake up everyone in the building at 6:30 in the morning.) That's real dedication on your part. And I definitely get the impression you're having fun doing this as well.
