Vintage Butterick 9993

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

I'm not putting this in pattern reviews as this pattern is not available in stores anymore.

Pattern for 11 1/2" "teen doll" - probably something like Tammy as the proportions would not fit Barbie.
Scaled up, it fits my Impldoll pretty well. I had fun with a wing needle and a decorative stitch.

The back seam on the skirt is wonky - the pattern illos show that it is supposed to overlap at an angle. I'll fix that in later versions. It offends my sense of order.

Pima cotton batiste lined in anti-static lightweight bridal lining.

Ohh .. I have that pattern.. had it a few years unfortunately all my dolls have the new bodies, and the pattern is made for dolls made before the Belly button body started taking off.I tried it one of the new dolls, and the fit is all wrong .. you really have to play around with it , to make it fit.

I took a couple of small pleats on either side of the back opening. It is still almost too wide for my impldoll's shoulders, but it looks great on an SD16 body. The bustline on the SD16 pulls the waist up a bit, giving it a more Empire look, but it looks good anyway.
