Another new dress for Cherry (image light)

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

I took several photos, but only ONE came out halfway decent. >,< So I'm uploading two. The first one is really too dark, but I wanted to show off the whole dress:

It's another corset skirt with an improved "puff" blouse and sleeves, with extra added lace fingerless gloves.

This one is a closeup and the only halfway decent one I took. It shows her in one of her older light pink wigs. I really like the color of this one on her. It's her second favorite after the pink tribble wig.

And OMG I am still in love with that sweet face of hers.

It's really pretty!! I'm trying to make a puffy top with a corset over it, was it hard..?

Not really at all. I based the design on an outfit (long since out of production) from Nightfall:

As you can see, the sleeves are actually separate. In my design, the puff blouse is actually a separate piece too, almost like a bandeau bra, except it's gathered with elastic at the top and bottom. I've made Cherry three dresses in a similar style so far, and the pieces can be mixed and matched to change up the looks. I really love this design as you can tell.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. My first attempt failed, the piece of fabric that I cut was way too small to get the gathering effect. I'll try again this weekend ^^

As a general rule, I use a strip of fabric that will wrap about twice to two and a half times around the doll's bustline. That gives enough gathering without necessarily being too bulky to fit under the corset. Good luck!

Oooh, I want to make a dress like that. Either for an incoming doll, or my Dana.

The dress isn't really that complicated; the most intricate part of the whole thing is the fitted corset belt. I've finally got the pattern standardized and I might provide it once I get time (and another day off) to transfer it to computer. The only thing you really need a pattern for is the corset; everything else--the sleeves, the blouse, the skirt--is just gathered rectangles.
