White dress for Cherry (3 images)

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

You can never have too many bows! :) Maybe combining white and blue bows would be interesting, but it looks great like that too.

I have a cheapo sewing maching that I hardly use for doll clothes (except the zig-zag stitch to prevent edges from fraying). Since they're so small it's usually easier to do it by hand where you can control where every single stitch goes.

I also sew by hand but I do not know how to put on elastic-
is that elastic at the top of sleeves & top? If so, how do you gather such a tiny thing
and put the elastic on it?

Indeed, yes, I use elastic cord in a small casing. I can and I have sewn flat elastic onto garments, but it's easier just to use round elastic cord in a casing channel.

Another awesome dress! And I second the 'there can never be too many bows' comment. I adore bows ^^

Very pretty outfit. I find handsewing very relaxing. I usually save my handsewing projects for when I'm watching tv.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
