Finally finished a project I've picked up and put down multiple times over the past couple months! Here is Rose modeling her new sweet Lolita dress:
The pattern was purchased off ebay from The Patchwork Pansy, designed by Adeline Salvesen. It was easy to follow, although I did decide to alter it a bit. It's much shorter than the original design and I made the sleeves short.
This one shows a bit more of the front lace and lacing detail. The dress fabric is a Mary Englebrite pattern and the underskirt is some quilting material that actually has a teensy black dot pattern on it. Shoeties were purchased from ebay too. It's all hand sewn while watching tv.
I made the tights from another pattern I had, using some 6" wide stretch lace I'd purchased from ebay. I faked the little gauntlets by just sewing some other stretch lace trim together. Her big sister, Joan, is already whining about wanting one too. I have some white with little pink rosebuds that I may try using for her altho do have a completely different dress cut out that I want to finish first.
