Good Humor Girl

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Good Humor Girl

I've been making some clothes specifically for Ginny (Resinsoul Dai). She has very narrow shoulders! Everything so far is white, because I've been using up a scrap of handkerchief linen I have and some scraps of white silk twill.

No. She is not selling ice cream. But you wouldn't know it to look at her.

The pants are Perfect Pattern #53 Asian jacket and pants. It is drafted for the Tyler doll, but if you blow it up 138% it is pretty good for Ginny.

I lengthened them about 3/4 of an inch from the original, but they still don't cover her knees when she's seated. Standing is fine.

The top I drafted myself. I goofed and stuck the band on the top on backwards, so it became an extension to the bodice instead of decoration.

I've drafted a version of the pants as cuffed shorts for a summer beach outfit, and the top will be repeated (with the band on rightside up). Both of the upcoming pieces will be lined.

Walk this way! (sorry Aerosmith)

This is Perfect Patterns #85, drafted for the 22" American Model. The skirt fits well, but the blouse is really too wide for her shoulders. I will set the blouse aside until I can try in on the Impldoll in September. Then decide who will get the blouse. I made this #85 up with no changes except I reduced the neck opening a little bit.

Thanks! I've been having a blast sewing sewing sewing. I'm in the process of working out techniques, fabrics, and so on for best results. Today I've been sewing on snaps. Lots and lots of snaps.

Oh, thank you very much!
I've been sewing for almost 45 years so I've had a lot of practice. It is refreshing to sew for dolls again: I had no idea how much I had missed it.
