Eva's first outfit

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Eva's first outfit

Postby Evelien » Sat Jul 09, 2011 11:14 am

I made the first outfit for Eva, my 60cm Obitsu girl with Parabox Joshua head. It's very simple as I'm not a great seamstress, but I love it, it's 100% the style I had in mind for her before I even had her, and its suits her just like I thought it would :)

Also, I couldn't get her brown acrylic half round eyes in the proper position haha, so I dug into my eye collection and chose these dark ones, which have stems so I can move them around easier. I think she looks great in them and they fit her better too, they look less "deep" in the eye pockets. Because of this she looks even prettier and happier than I already thought she was :)

She looks great! Did you make the black bolero yourself?

My husband loves the look of Eva, and says that from an artistic point of view she's very well put together! :D I think she looks wonderful in her outfit - very chic and stylish! Great job!

Wow thanks!! Yes I made the bolero myself, it's VERY easy and not finished well at all lol, I made it thanks to this tutorial on DoA, minus the lace:

What does your husband mean when he says that..? I didn't do much more than put a Joshua head on an Obitsu body and put on a wig that I thought suited her well lol ^^

Aw crap I don't have a DoA account so I can't view the tutorial :(

You should do an outdoor photoshoot of Eva sometime :D the wig and elf ears give her a nature loving person look.

If you send me your e-mail address in a pm message, I'll send you an invitation to DoA. Might be a while before your account gets validated there though.

Eva happens to love nature, so an outdoor shoot would be good indeed. I hope I'll have the guts.. :o

If anyone laughs or points or gives you weird looks, you can always say, "You see, she's Chucky's bride....she'll kill you if you laugh at her."
...

Actually, that's probably a bad idea.

Haha!
I've photographed dolls outside the house three times before, one was late at night in a quiet street, one was in the middle of the day but again on such a quiet abandoned street that the first two people I saw arrived when I had just finished shooting, and the third time two people walked past me but I ignored the hell outta them . Didn't feel too great though.

Thank you! Sounds like Elodie might get something to wear when it's too cold...
