This is amazing. Really beautiful. And I like the color sheme. What scheme are you thinking of now?
I love that fabric but I can't do anything with it cause its sliding off to places I don't want it and pulling in other places when I finally get it sewn together. HOW!? I thought I might glue the darn stuff but because its transparant I don't think that would work either. I have some that I would love to make a blouse out of for Audrey.. But the fabric just does not agree.
My secret to sewing that fabric was fray check and french seams! I also sew by hand when I use difficult fabrics so I dont' have to deal with the sewing machine hating them LOL. Seriously though, if it weren't for doing french seams, this would have been impossible.
The new outfit she'll be in is also a harem outfit, but the color is a deep luscious purple with gold threads. It's from a saree that I bought off of ebay. Unfortunately since it was second hand and being sold as "craft fabric" it was more damaged than I expected. Almost all the saree was severely stained...so I did what any sensible person does - I redyed it LOL. Anyway, I have the basic top and pants done, but I can't photo her in it yet because the silk frayed badly on the top's back straps so I'll need to replace those >< The next step will be embellishing
Honestly, I got back into doing beadwork specifically because of these harem outfits - but I got distracted doing human jewelry first.
I still have a HUGE piece of that fabric left too...lord knows what I'll do with it.....
