Dollieh Sanctuary

So finally my Taeyang has some decent looking clothes aside from the outfit he came in (and yet he doesn't even have his own original name yet OTL). I made him a Japanese furisode (long-sleeved kimono for unmarried girls) and customized a Chinese robe out of a wine bottle cover =^-^=

First up, the kimono~

It took me about 6 days to make, working on it for about 2 hours a day. I kind of eyed a pattern from a doll magazine for kimonos, but the pattern was for a bigger sized doll so I couldn't use it exactly as the book had it. The hardest part was sewing the collar since, unlike the sleeves and such, it wasn't just a straight line x__X

I made the "obi" too although by the time I got to it I just wanted the outfit finished so I didn't make anything too fancy. Just 2 pieces of fabric sewn together then tied at the back.

I customized this outfit out of a wine bottle cover so here's a picture showing what parts I had customize;


It wasn't so hard to make since the basic pattern was done for me. Took about 3 days. The hardest part was, again, the collar since I had to take in a lot to get it to fit on Taeyang :3

the kimono is lovely. I don't know if it can be found in your area but the touristy Chinatown in my country some times have these Chinese silk jacket that are use to carry cellphones. The smaller ones are a little big for female Obitsu

Cool! Yeah, I noticed the Chinatown seemed to have a lot of really nice things that were perfectly sized for him, it's awesome!
