Handmade Skirt with a Slimming Belt! [BF Tommy, IMG+]

I saw this lovely kerchief-like fabric in the scrap bin at Hobby Lobby, and I knew it had to become a fluffy skirt! I lucked out and found some light blue tulle as well, and figured I'd experiment with it!
It was a little rough/boring just as-is. But the tulle is kind of fun. :D (Not to sew. Definitely not fun to sew on a machine...)
Tis a bit cuter on Elby, methinks. c; However, even on Elby, the waistline is still really bulky! I wanted to get that gathered look, but without the messy waistband.
So I made a wide belt to go with. :D It's not sewn onto the dress, but has hooks on the back with some allowance for different sizes.
Again, without the belt, pulled low so you can see it under that frilly shirt. xD
Ta-da! :D In the end, very pleased with the result!
