Here is my Rose Wilder modeling the ChaCha Chow Mein pattern I made up for her.

I got a bunch of sample bits of Japanese fabric off etsy, so I did each pattern piece in a different fabric, plus I had to piece the skirt together as I didn't have any fabric long enough to cut it from. I'd probably make the sleeves a little shorter next time, and the skirt a little longer. The designer used plain tulle under her dress, but I used a lace embroidered tulle trim. It was actually too short, but I sewed on a band of lace hem tape to extend it so it showed up properly. I used snaps to hold the wrap front together and on the obi sash. I didn't make the matching purse. It's all hand sewn.
I know I've seen the link to the pattern posted here before, so I won't repeat that, but here is the link to the original designer's gallery pics of it: http://demi-divasbydurelle.50megs.com/c ... hacha.html
She made a corset lace up in the back and I may try that when I finally find out where I stashed my eyelet setter someday. Umm...looks like my sleeves are backwards too. Oh, well, not too bad a try for having no instructions, I think!
