Okay, so I'm also shamelessly showing off MY outfit... but darn it, took me 5 months to make it, I'm a little proud of it!!!! ^____^

I had literally JUST come down from the room, and we were trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. While Kiki inquired, I got pulled aside for a picture. Momiji was my dollieh companion for the day, beautiful in his Lizzie cosplay.

One of the better shots of Erik as Sebastian, Kiki hadn't put the contract on his hand yet. We found an Undertaker cosplayer and HAD to get a pic. Kiki is so cute as Meylin!

More pictures to come as I shamelessly steal them from other people. I took almost nothing except for the wedding shots. -_-;

Thanks everyone. The key to the look is the hoop skirt. I don't think I've seen anyone (I'm sure someone has but I haven't seen it) use a hoop skirt, and that's the only way to get the shape as in the anime/manga. ^___^ I do need to do a little more tailoring on it, needs to be taken in a bit before I use it again.

As for making it... I bought a Victorian Era bodice pattern from Patterns of Time, then just made a basic three gore skirt before gathering it. Same gore technique for the underskirt and petticoat. Seams are flat-felled wherever possible and the bodice is lined. Simple gored skirts are great for dolls too!
