So, with all the lovely Hanfu pictures (that my current system cannot load - but I have seen them before) I thought we should share our own lovely models!
Elidor's outfit is purchased. Hazel's outfit is made by me.

I didn't make these, Zirc did, and unless I am terribly mistaken, they won a prize!
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to get them as a present!

They are beautiful! I read about the Hanfu and all the different layers that can be added from the informal to the court dress Hanfu. How many layers do you use when making Hanfu for dolls?

For me... I did the white underlayer (he's a white BBB... the first layer of ANYTHING he wears is white), then gold layer which would be a good everyday look to stop at, then the red vest/belt with the tails and trim and everything. So three for me. ^__^

For Elidor's outfit I made him some plain white pants to go under it. Then there is a skirt, a white robe with extra chiffon layer (looks like two pieces when he's wearing it), a turquoise robe with trim, a dark blue robe with trim, a gold vest, the belt with dangling tails, an extra scarf, and the crown/hat. Hazel's outfit is much simpler - fancy underwear (it was her wedding), a white robe, a red chiffon skirt over that, the red robe with trim, the belt, and a matching hair ornament.
Re loading pictures: I have an old (10+yrs) Mac, and use dialup. It's the sheer number of pictures. I could wait two or three hours and they might load but I am too impatient to wait. As it is I normally have to wait for photostories for quite a while!

Richila beat me to my common question about Hanfu - I'd love to make one but I've never seen a good example of the parts! Is there any chance, Zirc, that you could take photos of the different layers of Elidor's outfit? Perhaps just laid out so we can see how they look? I could probably make one if I knew all the parts LOL.
Now there is a pattern someone needs to make and sell - I bet lots of people would love to have a pattern for a Hanfu set!
