Barbie cardie (actually a sweater!)

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Barbie cardie (actually a sweater!)

...or sweater, I'm not entirely sure of the terminology here. ETA: it's a sweater!

I always shied away from nitting for 1/6 dolls since it seemed like such a finicky deal. Turns out it's a LOT easier with thin needles. It's not exactly in 1/6 scale but doesn't look too out of scale either. Next time I'll try a thinner yarn!

Wonderful! You did a great job and I don't think it looks out of scale at all. I can barely knit, just flat scarves, so I'm envious of anyone who can do a whole sweater. Making one so tiny seems like it would even harder.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Knitting... First let me master sewing and I'll get on that >_>

Thanks everyone! The first tries were pretty bad and I'm glad I'm improving.

That's basically all I remembered from what I learned in school too. The rest I picked up from books and the internet - I still have to google before I attempt anything complicated, like casting off... :D Also, working in 1/6 scale means you don't have to unravel that much when something goes wrong.

Very nice sweater! It does not look out of scale, just a loose fit. I personally like a loose sweater look. I don't want to be nitpicky but, since you said you we're unsure of the terminology, I will clarify; the word cardigan, or cardie for short, usually refers to a sweater that buttons or zips up. Though I would not call it a cardigan I like your sweater very much and am very impressed that you were able to make such a cute tiny sweater. Personally, I can't knit at all so I'm sort of in awe of your skills.

Thanks! I always had a problem with my knitting being too loose, so I'm basically trying to knit as small and tight as possible just to learn how to do it. And don't worry about nitpicking, I did want to know! :)
