Boldly Sewing (cross-posted)

So I finally finished Dess's Star Trek uniform! Woohoo! I'm not one hundred percent pleased with how it came out - the sleeves are too tight, and I need to modify the dress pattern to have more fit. But, I'm just glad right now to have the darn thing done.
Not as accurate as I would have liked (more Halloween quality than cosplay quality in my opinion) but it does look cute! Her badge is made out of some cardstock I found laying around.
A long shot so you can see the whole outfit. I still need to fix the pleats in the back (not photographed because of hideous crookedness), and find some way of shutting it other than well-hidden straight pins.
Dess: "Treat her proper, she'll be with you - "
Me: Wrong ship, sweetie.
Dess: Well, duh. Fine. "Give me a tall ship and a star to sail by..."
