I caved in and bought a beautiful sweater in gorgeous purple heathered yarn from Squirrel Moon on Etsy.

I can knit, but not like this!

It is beautiful knitting and I'm very glad OTHER people will knit doll stuff.

That is very impressive. It looks great on her and I can see why you bought it ^^

I just learned how to knit this weekend and even the easiest way to knit is almost driving me up the wall so I 300% respect the person who knit(ted?) this

I am keeping an eye on her shop for another cardigan and then something for the boy doll who is eagerly anticipated (that's a nice way of saying I'm TIRED of waiting!). I can knit, but tiny stitches are hard for me. My mom taught me to knit, and she was self-taught out of books, so her style was (and my style is) kind of a mish-mash.

"to knit" is an irregular verb. Both "knit" and "knitted" are acceptable for past tense.

Love the cardigan! And the color is beautiful!
Are the "buttons" push buttons?
It all looks so well proportionat.

I''m with you on this one Evelien. I have just resently started knitting again and I now remember why I did not knit as much as I crochet... I hope I will get better before I go completely nuts XD
(Its not as much the knitting as the me making it so tight I can hardly get the knitting ..er..needle? in the stitch let alone do anything with it.)
I have started with a "human" sized project (beanie for my daughter) and I hope to be knitting some more things for my daughter like perhaps a cardigan! And in the progress becoming better at it. But to knit in this small scale with that size stitches is something all together different (I tried already and my god what a mess that turned out to be :P) I hope I will some day be able to tho!
As I really would like to have a cardigan like this for Audrey! Maybe one for Molly too! (even smaller...yickes)

The buttons are real buttons. The maker of these sweaters often uses vintage buttons. I can't remember if these are or not.

That's a very nice sweater!

Knitting for dolls, though... It's been on my to-do list for this year to finally make some progress in 1/6 scale, but I keep giving up and losing heart... it's just so tiny! And then you see people doing stuff like this.
