New Hoodie and Skirt

Some eBay goodies came today. I got a white hoodie and Lacey's skirt. These are both from nine9 style and I love both pieces. I may have bought this hoodie but I plan on making the other dolls hoodies myself. Should not be very hard. Also, that way I can put my own designs on them with transfer paper ;)

Lacey wanted to wear the hoodie and the skirt is hers so she's the model here. She looks good and even Liddell approves!

The hoodie's design is very random. I'm debating if I can bleach it off and put my own design on.

The skirt has this neat little lace-up thing going on in the back, but you actually take it on and off using a zipper on the side.

Cute outfit! I am very fond of hoodies on dolls. Does the hood fit on her head?

Over on Den of Angels there is a pattern for a "one size too big" hoodie. Basically it makes a nice loose hoodie for an MSD size doll, but I've already adapted it for Yo size and plan to upsize for SD as well :) I've also adapted it to make zipper front hoodie jackets! If you can't get on DoA let me know, I'll send you the pattern :)

Thanks! Yes, the hood actually can go over her head when her pigtails are taken off (they're detachable).

I can't get on DOA. Been meaning to ask if anyone can invite. Only 2 of my dolls would actually qualify as on topic there though.

I would really appreciate a MSD sized pattern though :)

I'll have an invite sent to your email address - and I'll get you the PDF of the pattern. It doesn't have seam allowances, so be sure to add some! It doesn't have instructions either, but shirts are pretty basic - first you sew the front to the back at the shoulders, then you sew the sleeves at the shoulders, then the hood and finally up the sides and underside of sleeves :)

Detachable pigtails! That is awesome!
Greyhaunt, I would love to see your pattern as well, but I can't see it over at DOA, I'm not a member there. Can you send it to me too?

The skirt is totally adorable! My girls don't do hoodies much altho Rose has a nice green one from one of the Ellowyne sets.

Thanks :) You'd be surprised how hard it is to find a nice MSD skirt in just black!
