Belle as...Belle!

Since britbrat18 put a bug in my ear about my new American Model Vintage looking so much like the girl who plays Belle/Lacey in ABC's 'Once Upon A Time,' I had to make her one of Belle's outfits. I chose this one from the Enchanted Forest world:

Here's my version:

I used two different Designs By Jude patterns for the blouse and the corset vest and I made up the skirt by myself. Blouse chiffon and lace from local fabric stores, ribbon trims from Walmart & the blue rayon jacquard is a recycled dress from the Salvation Army that didn't fit me properly. The eyelets were pure hell, but I think they came out fine. She's wearing her original pink slippers because I can't find the right maryjanes for her (nor can I afford them at the moment!) and I didn't bother with a slip, but maybe in the future.

Her little basket came from the Salvation Army too and I made her the book. It has pictures inside too, mostly of her love, Rumplestiltskin.

Yeah, she's going to be wearing this for a while now. Woots!

Wow, that looks really good!

Mind if I ask what scale she is and where you got the teeny eyelets? I have some projects coming up where I might have to use those...

Thanks! She's a 22" American Model by Tonner, so bigger than a 1/4, but not quite a 1/3. The eyelets are scrapbooking eyelets. I got a kit with boxes of eyelets & matching washers plus the setting tool off ebay. Took me quite a frustrating while to figure out how to set them properly. I hit them with a smaller Phillips head screwdriver first.

Thank you for the inspiration!

Thanks! Right now, it's my favorite show and I sadly don't know anyone else who likes/watches it so I never get to talk about it. I'm dying to make that red spangled dress that Snow's mother wore.

That is so cute!! I love the way you did the bodice. Also, the little basket and the tiny book are wonderful, they really make the outfit look complete :)
