Pants! Two Pairs, One Steampunk, one Goth

I made pants~! It took me forever to figure out the pockets. I've had the pattern for ages, but I altered it to a) accommodate the pockets, and b) be long enough to bunch around the ankles. In the case of the black ones, I also made the pant legs much wider to be able to go over the tops of boots. Please excuse the nekkid blue body in the foreground. Oracle will be shipping out to her new home as soon as I finish the final layers of sealant on her.

Image
These fit Zephyr rather snugly. I'm so pleased they fit properly. I'll be making a white poet-style shirt and a vest that matches the ribbon accents to go with it, and I'm hunting for some boots.
Image
The button is a scrapbooking brad. The filigree pieces holding up the chains are bits cut from beading caps. I'm kinda pissed the brown thread and the burgundy thread cross each other, but I can live with it.
Image
The studs and the door-knocker lookin' thing are more scrapbooking brads. The brown and gold ribbon is actually a strip of brocade fabric folded into thirds and ironed flat before being sewn down.
Image
Working pockets!
Image
I'm also a little annoyed that the darts in the back aren't perfectly even but another thing I can live with.

This pair also has working pockets, and these are the ones I made with a wider leg. I was aiming to make something like Tripp pants. I think I succeeded? Maybe?
Image
More scrapbooking brads, and the silver loops holding up the straps are the round part of a pair of toggle clasps. Satin ribbon details
Image
The silver loop here is just a jump ring through a ribbon loop. I wanted to use D-Rings but I didn't have any small enough.
Image
More satin ribbon details. Cut the three strips and fray-checked em. The wider ribbon is just that, a wider ribbon.
Image
Close-up of another of the scrapbooking buttons. The ribbon belt loops were sewn deliberately to have enough space to hold the chains and straps.
Image
Close-up of the ribbons on the cuffs.
Image
The jacket is an SD size with the sleeves rolled up but it looks so cute on him.

Really good work! Amount of details is amazing, and the trousers's fit is fime (despite the wonky darts)! I just wish I had patience to do as neat work as you have done. ^^

Very nice. I don't think I would have the patience to do something like those even if I had the skill.

They look awesome!

(In the last picture, I was like, "that's the scarf from one of the Mo fullsets!" and then I saw you have a Mo in your signature... ;))

~laughs except I did that face-up. That's my character, Aki. Most of the scars on his face are from being hit with a glass bottle, except the one on his lip, that's from being punched in the mouth by a hand wearing a large ring. I'm not looking forward to doing his body blush... he has scars on his shoulders and back from being thrown through a glass coffee table, and self-harm scars on his wrists. My poor little one... I do horrible things to my characters.

I'm glad everyone likes the pants! :) I want to make more, but first I need to make Zephyr's shirt. XD
