Conte crayon question, anyone use Art Stxi?

Simple question about colored Conte crayons, like the sanguines and ochres in the portrait set, are they chalky like the white Conte crayon and hard pastels or more waxy like the black Conte?

I only have black and white to compare right now but I don't want chalky. I don't like how the white can get powdery and I didn't get along with another company's hard pastels or pastel pencils. I don't like the thought a sneeze or accidental swipe could smudge art work.

Does anyone use Prismacolor Art Stix? I have their regular colored pencils and could work with a stick form of them.

I got one of the art stix as a bonus in a pack of pencils, and I can tell you they are the same material as the pencils just in a different shape.

I got some Art Stix and I like them. They're shaped like chalk pastels but no dust, the colors match the pencils so I'll be able to mix them easy.
