What presents did you get?

What did other people give you or what did you give yourself?

I gave myself books- one on 19th century fashion dolls (with pictures of body types), an old Guinness Book of Records paperback from when they were cool, NKOTB novels and crappy vintage jewelry. If the books continue to be good I might give them wooden crates for a DIY shelf.

Doll wise I gave myself Astranova Monster on sale.

A TON of baking stuff from my mom. Springform cake pans, glass pie pan, mini cupcake tin a mufin tin with HUGE wells ramicans, a new whisk a sifter, silicone baking sheet... Just... Everything has to do with my love for baking and cooking and I couldn't be happier.

My dad got me Through The Dark by Alexandra Bracken, Survey Corps gloves from Attack on Titan and some cute star and moon earrings.

I got gift cards and money from various relatives and one of my cousins gave me a Kinokuniya gift card and a Spirited Away purse.

Two new dolls! EAH Kitty Cheshire and Jun Planning Sasha bunny Lala.

Other stuff: cds, dvds, socks (so many socks) cook books, Turkish delight, and taco plates
Oh, and some cool metal sculpture thingy from my brother.

I got my first proper BJD, who's 72cm and I had no clothes to fit him! I had to make pyjama bottoms out of my old t-shirt on Christmas Day. I also got a Nintendo 3DS, some cushions, a blanket, a toy bear (to replace one my brother stole from me when we were kids)... I haven't opened all mine yet! There's a lot still wrapped.

A semi-tradition here is to save up and then go on a small internet shopping spree over the holidays - picking out our own gifts might not be as friendly or traditional, but given the temperaments in my family it works better in the long run (we're finicky and paranoid here XD)

I took about $70 and spent some time on Ebay. Among a few loose non-poseable Barbies purchased primarily for their heads, a Liv doll purchased for the body, and a headless male 12" action figure body, I am happy to say I can now take Happy Family Midge off my wishlist. Yes, that's the pregnant one. The belly actually attaches better than I'd expected. The one I got was loose and missing the baby, but I can pick up the baby later. She arrived today, along with the Liv and one of the non-poseable Barbies. Two non-poseables and the male body are still in the mail.

I also picked up a few polished geode slice pendants for jewelry, one of which has arrived and the rest are still in the mail.

Everyone seems to have gotten nice gifts. ^.^

In dolls, I got the student council monster high set, Lorna, Isi, and Mousecedes, and my new Resinsoul Sophia, those are from my hubbie. The usual cash gifts from the usual places and...

My parents surprised me with a brand new sewing machine. The kind I would never in a million years buy for myself, top of the line with all the bells and whistles. It means a lot, says a lot to me.

My wonderful sister made a bathrobe and blanket set for Amiga! With her new sewing machine, no less. I'm so proud of her. I also got a plushy of Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. And a hairbrush.

Then when I got home from the parents' house, I hopped on Amazon and treated myself to some Ever After High books and dolls. Ever After High is my new guilty pleasure!

My boys got me 3 new dolls for my collection. They weren't able to get the two Ever After High dolls I asked for because they shopped too late and everything was picked over. However, I had told the DH that I would really like anything they chose specifically for me anyway. I got no explanation for the DH's choice of Blondie Locks Enchanted Picnic, but my son told me he chose the 2 pack of Apple & Raven School Spirit because they were the creepiest. (He thinks ALL my dolls are creepy!) I still love both my new dolls and my silly boys.

Being the spoiled rotten adult-child that I am... I got a few pairs of socks this year, my dad started getting me Darn Tough Socks and then the usual Holiday fun pair of socks. Always fun. I love socks. XD The usual underwear, some undershirts and a pair of leggings. I got a very random gift from my Dad's parents, not entirely sure what it is but the gift said "Something Fun". It appears to be some sort of Asian inspired outfit but it is much much too large for me to ever really wear. I guess really loose silky PJs? The embroidery on it is pretty though, maybe I should see about doing a shadow box type display for it. A stick anywhere chalkboard thing. A set of Paper Doll Origami which looks kind of fun. I've already posted that my aunt bought me Aileen Dolls Rot Dragon for Christmas. ^_^ A Voucher for a lift pass at our favorite ski resort. My mom's parents gave me a homemade wooden box with a left handed pair of sewing shears. I've pretty much learned to use right handed scissors but it's still very special, I love my Grandpa's boxes. I got a quiver for my juggling sticks but it was a bit too small so I'm going to give it to my nephew as it fits his child sized pair of sticks just fine. Some money and last but not least LEGOs. ^_^ Didn't get a Christmas set this year since they did a re-release of one I already had but I got a couple of their LEGO Classics sets which are pretty fun and all the colors in the rainbow! O.O I'm totally a lego brick hoarder.

I had asked my husband to let me buy a 2014 Juri/Soony MNF head that was on the market a few weeks ago and he put it away when it arrived to be opened for Christmas. She will become my avatar, hopefully! Among other things I got a new MH doll, and the latest book from our own Misty so I can continue with Mags' story. My husband got me a respirator so I can start practicing my own faceups. Oh, and I also got my hair highlighted and styled! That was a biggy because I had been letting my gray grow out (I started going gray in high school.....) to go lighter, but I still has a lot of my natural brown color underneath. Now I have nice dark ash blond highlights instead of dull gray!

A pre-Christmas gift to the three of us was tickets for Star Wars - The Force Awakens!
