Did you play with dolls a lot as a kid?
Are there photos to prove it?
Let's not forget those who have gone before- We loved them once, why not still? ;-}

Edit: Derp, I forgot to put who this doll is..>.< It's an American girl, Felicity.

Aw! I still have my American Girl Josefina. My mom also just recently found her two barbies and one ken that she kept and played with when she was a kid. I've been cleaning and fixing up our old dolls around the house including our anatomically correct baby dolls. XD
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Yeah! I have Josefina too! (I got the company's defective one. She had one lazy eye) And my old barbies.
I have my mum's barbies too, (and Great grandma's boudoir doll) but she won't let me restore anyone..>.<'
Maybe if I face-up some of my old barbies...hermmm..
I'll post loads of photos once my 1/6th horde is back out of storage.

Oh! I have a picture to contribute! :D

This is a doll my Aunt Judy brought me back from Japan in 1989. :) My mother took me and my doll to a tea party, hence the fancy dress!

A one handed Darci whose head falls off and a Beauty Secrets Barbie, whose head falls off, a couple of very loved Beauty dogs, all of whom I still have. Although as a little kid I played more with the little plastic dogs I still have.

No idea where any pictures might be as there's more pictures of the pets than us kids :/

When I was younger, my American Girl doll, Kirsten, was probably my most prized possession. I think I spent about as long wishing for her as I did Dess. I had another 18" doll from Target, but she hasn't kept up nearly as well. I also have a ton of Barbies, who I do still occasionally get out, mostly for clothes mugging or extras. My sister and I used to come up with amazingly complex plots together.

I was a HUGE! Barbie girl growing up, but we were poor so I only had one. I had the camping Barbie and I named her Amy. she was the best Barbie evar! i wish I had any photos of me as a kid with her, but we didnt have a camera either growing up :( oh well, I still have my memories (and Amy, safely tucked away in a doll trunk!)

Ah, Same here Anneke, but I had one and a half Barbies because my sister and I shared one from my mom cause she felt we needed at least one, and then an aunt gave me and my sister one each for Christmas. We don't have pics of them either but we played with them quite a bit. My favorite doll was a stuffed body clown doll. He was the only toy I ever asked for as a kid...but not on purpose ahahhahaha. I just started crying cause we were walking around the store and I thought I'd never see him again but I didn't want to ask for him. My mom didn't even realize I was crying for a while. There are pics somewhere but I have to find them. I took him with me everywhere.

I didn't really have any dolls that didn't get taken by my sister shortly after I got them, but I had lots of stuffed animals! Including popples!

A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
