Going to have to do some research to get back to you... From your eye description, maybe a pair of high dome glass eyes would work (I've seen eyes that look like they "buldge out" out of the socket and that would maybe work). The size, I'm not sure but I'd need to know better on the scuplt.. But if you think the "filled eye socket" looks right, I'd go up 2mm from what is standard/commonly used.

Larger and not smaller? Hmmm... I DO have a pair of high domed glass eyes that are a size 12 in my BBB tiny (15cm). She doesn't look pug eyed, though. She just looks like she's going to do something bad to you while you're sleeping. Might be because she's a red head, though.

Take the head to craft store and try different sized beads and see how they sit. High dome in the general size he needs might work too.

The picture shows Xavier with 18mm eyes, 16mm are recommended, and they sit deep in the sockets.

I see what you mean by deep set eyes. I'm looking more for a pug-eyed look, though. Thanks for posting the photo of your handsome fellow!
