What presents did you get?

I got a rather amazing holiday wreath from my mother - she found one at a craft fair which is all old (often broken) toys hot glued onto a wreath form! It is wildly colorful and overwhelming, and I love it.

I also got several books on dollhouses, one on furniture, one on making clothes from cloth, one on knitting clothes, and one on crochet clothes.

And two new Monster High dolls, original Honey Swamp and Invisi-Billy!

I did get, as my fall birthday present to myself, the re-released Lego holiday set, as the Toy Shop was the only one that I wanted but did not have (and wow, the prices on second hand Lego are steep!).

I was so blessed! Of course, our lasting and current passion (or as they say in Japan, 'myboom') is 'Frozen,' we received so many Frozen related gifts from all our relatives! I was so pleased with everything!

Frozen Fever Limited Edition Elsa 1/4 doll, 38" My Size Elsa Doll, Elsa snowglobe, Elsa sketchbook ornament, 4 different Elsa Hallmark Ornaments, 30" Elsa plushie, 10" Elsa plushie, a Hans portrait (framed), Elsa tall mug, Elsa pajamas, Elsa lithograph framed prints, Elsa Itty Bittys ornament, Elsa Coronation Hasbro Little Kingdom Figure, Elsa 17" Animator's collection Doll, Elsa towel, Elsa/Anna plate set, Elsa paint your own model doll, and a custom made Sitron 20" plush horse from my sister! She did an incredible job on him!!!!

My sis got pretty much the same items, but all Anna! (She didn't get the 38" My Size Anna, or the 30" Anna plushie, though---she said she has no room and she's not as much into dolls as I am, so...we skipped that!) Instead she got a cute Kristoff/Anna Mattel 6" doll set, Funko 4" Kristoff doll and a Kristoff/Anna/Sven sweatshirt.

Our family was happy we like 'Frozen,' because they said gifts were so easy to find, unlike the usual times where they don't know what to get us! :laughs:

I got a toner cartridge, which was exactly what I wanted! (My wishlist tends to be practical boring stuff, since it's more fun to buy the dolls myself.) Also a coat, which was completely unexpected but awesome - I think my family were just getting sick of the thredbare thrift find I've been wearing the last ten years...

Currently in the process of trying to pick out a late christmas gift for myself while trying to remember exactly how many annual membership fees are due this month.

I had a great Christmas. My sister just had a baby and isn't up for travel so we all packed up and drove down to Atlanta for our usual big family Christmas. I got some funky new boots (that look totally 90s) and a few other fun accessories like leggings and scarves. Books of course, loads of new books. My mother actually got me the American Girl crock pot and kitchen accessories. hehehehehe... totally unexpected given her previous disdain for my doll hobby. I had the most fun watching my almost-2 year old open his presents. Well, he mostly toddled around and pulled things off the tree, but eventually he understood that if he pulled paper off boxes there were toys inside. Or socks. Socks happened. He was mesmerized by his new cousin. It's good for him to see babies, because guess who is 12 weeks pregnant? We're gearing up for Baby #2. Boom, baby, yeah! <3
