A very simple observation. You have to know what a wig that fits a doll feels like tactile-ly to appreciate it. Back before I got a couple of Volks Dollfie Dream wigs for my Yumiko I took it for granted that wigs just feel floppy and have a habit of falling off. I managed to find two at the Marketplace area of The Site That Shall Not Be Named that were both in new condition for half their list price. And wouldn't you know...Yumiko just looks awesome in them. And there is a definite difference. A wig that fits will pull on in a very satisfying way (I can't describe it any other way) and not fall off. Even if you don't have wig stop or a wig cap or a rubber band on the head. And it will look like it's intended for the doll.

After getting turned down for one refi on our house---because, and get this, we have TOO MANY residences on the property (WTF?) we got pre-approval for another at a lower rate. So tentative rejoice, and spin those prayer wheels and rattle those beads for us.

Two dollieh related rejoices!

First, my Custom House dolls (which I ordered Dec 11 during a sales event) are finally preparing to ship! I'm still not sure how long it will take for them to get here, but most of the other orders being tracked in the thread at DoA have been taking 20 weeks to deliver (or at least arrive at customs). So if I get them before the end of the month I'll be very happy! I haven't ordered anything before that would be going through customs, so I'm not sure what to expect. So far, no one in the US has mentioned custom fees, so I hope that remains true for me!

Second, Emory is going to be ordering an AoD Qian (58cm) for me! I'm so excited to be getting a big girl! Now I can start buying outfits and wigs and shoes and eyes . . . *bounce*
