Macbook OSX Snow Leopard (unwilling to update to Lion - looks too smartphone like)

I have no problems with it, but I'm no computer person so I'm not the best on techi speak. I think... my ONLY problem with it is how I have to remember that they redid the touch motions to be more like the iPad/iPod. They're reversed on my Magic Mouse ;_;

Oh! The thing that put me off it was it's apparent inability to have multiple windows open simultaneously(, and the way apple have closed off most of their software now.) So can you have a word processor open at the same time as another programme like a spreadsheet or database?

Yep. I've got like 5 windows open right now. lol I think you may have seen their demonstration of the multiple desktops you can have. I'm generally fine with a "cluttered" screen, but some people like to only have a few windows open at a time so they made this multiple desktop feature you can switch with just a finger swipe.

Still running OSX 10.4.11. I only upgrade with every other release, so I plan to switch to 10.6 pretty soon. I'm primarily using Safari as my browser, although I haven't really cared for it since they added that useless and memory hogging Top Sites feature. I keep it turned off because I don't need Apple providing content for me nor do I care for the "snazzy" graphic interface that's of no real value to me. Firefox seems like a less cluttered browser but I was having operating issues with it and eventually stopped using it altogether.

Dual core desktop system built by a local shop & my trusty ASUS 1000HE netbook ( dubbed Chibi), both running XP. The first one to die gets replaced with a Win 7 machine.

Mac OSX Snow Leopard for me because hell if I'm going to have to get used to using a PC again. I love and hate both OS equally, so it's really not worth it for me to switch back just yet. XD

My fiance builds computers, so I have a Windows 7 Ultimate machine, with 2 hard drives, 500GB each, dual core processor, which is getting upgraded soon, along with the motherboard. 4GB RAM to run my graphics programs. Her name is the Hellcat and she has orange-y red LEDs on her front and side panels. >3< -lurves her-
