I remember the time we were planning a weekend stay in PA for the Ren Faire

and then we overspent on our credit cards

and now we have to save every penny to pay them off.

FIrst off there is a head cap - so there will be a sort of gap in your rooting and you'll have to root partially in the cap and partially on the rest of the head or it will look wierd.

The right wig can be hard to find - but it is soooooooooo worth it. Or you can even make your own wig. Even if you never change it (and hey, most of my dolls are in the same wig that I first bought for them so I hear what you say on that) it will be a lot easier to work with. And I've rooted 1/6s before as well so I"m speaking from experience too :)

I guess I will have to search stores high and low during my wait for her for a wig i can mod into they stlye i want for her. who knows i may enjoy wigs and buy her new ones ( she is gonna be my last for a while, school) <---sigh. But i think i saw a how to make you own wig guide on here, i will try that :) Thanks guys

Oh and just to put it out there I wanted to recreate a hairstyle modeled after inori from guilty crowns own, and giver her eyes like the girls from K-on. If anyone knows where i can find a wig i can style into that I will appreciate it. I think i will get spare heads and root them to see how it is but for her i will try wigs.

Hah, I know wig problems. I have a character I want to make, and there is a poor selection of affordable green wigs with long hair. Or affordable green wigs in general. Green isn't a very popular color.

I have also been trying to find a green wig that works for my character! I can find a thousand royal blue wigs in every possible color, but not one green one that will work and if the style is sort of right, it'll be totaly the wrong shade of green.

I found one place that does sell the right shade of green wigs in various styles, but it would have to be a pre-order, and the site is JUST Engrish enough that it makes me worried. Plus, I dunno how much shipping would cost just for one wig.

This is the site, http://www.formydoll.com/index.php

If it makes anyone feel better, I have purchased wigs from Formydoll before in preorders and was very pleased with the quality of the wigs! I love their selection of colors too - the best place to get wild colors! Shipping, however, is EXPENSIVE for just one wig. What I recommend is, when you are ready to buy from Formydoll, either go on Den of Angels and see if anyone is doing a group order from them there, or organize one here (or see if someone else will organize one - I might consider it depending on when you want to do it) as that will significantly reduce your postage since you'll share with the others.

The only thing I have found with their wigs is that they sometimes run a touch small. As an example, I bought a 7-8 size wig for an Obitsu Haruka head, but it ended up being too small. Instead it seems to fit my Obitsu Megu head which is more of a 6-7 size head. I have another FMD wig that is also supposed to be 7-8 and again, fits a 6-7 head much better. However that is the only issue I've ever had and I consider it a small one :)

Inori's wig would be rather interesting. 1 option is to get a close enough short wig and get some hair extention. Another option would be to find a good pictures of her front, side and back and see if you can request the wig companies to make it.

I'll have to keep that in mind, Greyhaunt. Both the wig sizes and the group order.

Greyhaunt,

Would that mean get a 7-8 for a RS Mei then? o-o She wears a 6-7... I've been eying a wig there for a while, it's the right color and short. xD Shipping is more than the wig though x.x;

Only red I can find that is like what I wanted
