What I don't understand is their concept art - it's ... meh. Have they even looked at any of the fan-art out there of pony-girls (get yer mind out of the gutters now ) based on MLPs? Much of what I've seen has been outstanding! These pony-humans look like someone decided to do as little actual detail as they thought they could get away with.

They do look like the Monster flash versions. Now to hope the characters aren't appearance obsessed snotty tweens.

If dolls come out hopefully they'll be decent, if not reroot yourself some Monsters. I can't think if I have any Hasbro girl bodies and the recent Joes have been meh.

Show-wise, if it follows the current MLP humor and story plots it would have very little in common with MH past being based in a highschool. I personally don't think it would be bad. While MH has interesting dolls, I find their show fairly annoying. MLP, on the other hand, is very entertaining.

Doll-wise, I wouldn't be so quick to judge what they will look like. Their current ponies are nowhere near as cute in toy form as they are in the cartoon. I really, really wish they did. I'm not thrilled with the concept art here, but it doesn't mean the dolls will look exactly like them.

Don't do it, Hasbro! I see a new member in the Hall of Regret if they try this. MLP is too well known for being a bunch of ponies (both past and present. I mean seriously, My Little Kitty, anyone?) to really catch a new demographic and there's the risk of chasing off existing fans. Maybe if they weren't based off of existing ponies it would work as an entirely separate and new franchise, but this looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

Okay, I don't get the differing skin tones (if they're human make them human-flavored!), but I do like how the ponies "look" like themselves. I think even with different clothes and normally-colored hair and skin, you'd be able to tell who is who just by their eyes and hair styles. Unfortunately, everything from the neck down could have had more thought put into it. The legs and feet kinda scare me and their butts look huge. Trying to let them keep their horse's ass? Their lower halves are totally disproportionate to their upper halves.

Humanoid Twilight= Stocking... If anyone has ever seen the anime... That alone ruins the the innocence of the show for me... >_< They should just keep with ponies...

MLP dolls could be amazing if they put a bit of thought/money into the designs instead of just throwing something together for quick profit. Not so sure about a high school AU animation series, though...
