some people just don't get when their crit is offensive. there's a lady in my studio that loudly proclaimed she couldn't look at my prototype pattern because it made her want to throw up. she thought that was an honest opinion and I wanted to feed the pattern to her piece by piece.

There's been a shooting at a hospital about a block from my office. Looks like 5 people including an officer were hurt and they're still looking for a suspect but we don't know any details for sure. We're on lockdown until further notice. I know we're safe where we're at but all the sirens for the last 1.5 hours have been putting me on edge and then I just about hit the ceiling when a car backfried.

Yup. There are two dead with 5-9 shot and at least one shooter still has not been found. We've been told to stay away from our windows.

This started between 1:30-2:00 and seems to be still ongoing. University of Pittsburgh is still on lockdown but I know they lifted the lockdown on a local highschool which is farther away from the hospital. I've just seen like two more SWAT teams go by. I think they're evacuating the buildings floor by floor now.

Oh gawd, it's still ongoing? Yikes. My friend says it's not far from her, but far enough that she doesn't have to worry.

My 'teh suckz'.... I got sick. Only a few weeks into the new job. Kinda makes sense I suppose. I've been more or less a shut-in for the better part of a year, so my immune system probably isn't up to par. Can't build up immunity, if you're not exposed to it, right? >x<

I guess so. When you add all the factors together, getting sick was inevitable. Not enough sleep, stress, unhealthy eating (my lunch has been consisting of baked pretzels and/or a hotdog for a few weeks now, with breakfast not much better)...I should have been taking some supplements to bolster my immune system. Well, as they say, hindsight is 20/20. I asked my fiance to bring me home some orange juice, but my throat is so raw, I dread drinking it. On the upside, I maaaay have an interview for something better and closer to home, but I don't want to jinx it yet. It's the same style of work (marketing/sales) but with a base pay of $11 an hour, plus an additional $40 a day if I meet my sales goals. None of this off the clock work, and the commute is only about 15 minutes, as opposed to 50 or more depending on traffic.

And I hope that new job Pans out Okami sounds like a much better deal than what you're having to put up with now. Try to feel better! My two little ones and I are just getting over some pretty bad stuff out here. Some sort of upper respiratory infection with a super high fever. Was the pitts
