Almy, again, I'm so very sorry for all that you're going through right now. I'll keep you in my prayers and please know that you have my sympathy and understanding.

Oh teething... having been focused on all the "baby prep" I'd almost forgotten about having that bit of joy to look forward to. I have a feeling that rubbing booze on a baby's gums would probably be frowned on nowadays. The baby might like it though.

Yeah I worked for Child Welfare for two years and it's something that was frowned down on.

You also have the crying, whining, and tugging on your pantsleeve nonstop to look forward to!! Parenthood is not as glamorous or as fun as everyone tries to make it out to be. It's a melting pot of baby poop, puke, whining, sleepless nights, and constant anxiety!! You'll do fine though - just keep repeating to yourself "this is normal.. this is normal.. this is normal.."

Orajel actually works rather well. There are also gel filled teething rings which can be frozen. One parent I knew swore by giving her kids sealed chunks of cheese. It was both cooling and a nice firm, but squishy consistency.

Of course, all kids are different. When I worked at a day care it seemed that all of the parents had different methods.

My mom used to use orajel and cold but clean carrots for me when I was an infant and didn't want to teeth on anything else.

I am really glad that I'm done with AFA Management Group. But I am so totally royally completely pissed right now. First they short me 14 hours on my check, then it takes them a week to get the discrepancy fixed, THEN, when I tell them I'll come pick it up, that they MAILED it to me. And I still have another check next week and I'm just UGH.

But I'm done. I quit, because they wouldn't give me any hours, after one of the assistant managers talked shit about me for no reason. -sigh-

I have some flyers from employment lawyers that I might be calling to see if I have a case. The job was misrepresented, they required unpaid work from me, even though I filed a W2, and I still have no idea if I'll be getting my last check.
