I think this turning into a problem...I keep ordering BJDs lol...since Last December I've ordered 4. They are my first three dolls ever, one has arrived (my Makie Sybil) but the other three haven't even shipped yet and now I'm going to order another one!! I love layaway plans btw.

Haha well no matter that I have three yet to come, I'm totally getting a doll from a new Russian(?) company call Argonautica. Well maybe I should say The Doll from Argonautica since she(?) sells only one full doll so far. It's called Prias and is an super cool Alien sculpt!! In either male, female, or unisex body. I'm a sucker for unusual dolls, I wish there were more weird ones out there.

I just can't decide what color between purple, mint, and white. Purple and mint are definitely classic Alien colors, but white is a pretty much a blank canvas and I could go as crazy as I want on its faceup. On the other hand, all the other dolls I ordered are some shade of pale...Agh! Decisions! What do you guys think? I'd like to throw out that other then a name my dolls won't have much of a bio. It's just not something I'm good at. I'm into dolls for their looks and level of customization. I'm a shallow, shallow person...

Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds that alien sexy. I want my own unisex alien STAT~! Also, for colours...that purple is freaking gorgeous. Just my two cents. Green may be a bit too classic (though I'm sure someone will rock it) but the purple is stunning!

Haha! Kinsman!! You're not alone, it's a very beautiful doll. I agree about the purple, I'm partial to it, but the white draws me because of the potential colors I could paint it. (>_<) hmm...more thinking required.

It's bothering me because he's huge (I'm using the he pronoun because...well...he's rocking a rather prominent front there ) and he's pretty much at the top end of my size range...I'm tempted to ask how much it would cost for 30cm versions. She has a ten doll minimum but...well, I'm sure I could keep two and sell eight. Or I could start a group buy for people interested in owning, that sort of thing. I want this doll! Anyway, as for the purple/white...do keep in mind that it's a very pale purprle. Also, just a feeling, but the white alien might look a little albino. Which would be gorgeous if that's what you are going for, but keep in mind that this isn't a normal BJD in that he's most likely going to stay naked and hairless. Part of the beauty of this doll is his natural state! So getting a special colour may be the way to go...he's still very customizable no matter what colour! Think of the markings you could give him! Just...uwaaah! If the artist answers my email I am so tempted to ask the community if they want to do a group order for the 30cm size.

Bought a brand new television! Because my old LCD television finally crapped out on me after almost ten years. Yaay! Excuse to upgrade!

It's a 40 inch Samsung, not QUITE one of those smart TVs with built-in internet. It's a step down from that one, but it does have HDMI imports and an LED screen which the other one didn't. So I can easily plug in my Blu-ray player which DOES have access to Netflix and stuff.

This TV is HUGE! I'm glad I didn't go for a 50 inch, or it wouldn't even fit on the stand! lol My old TV was only ... 23 inch, maybe? About all I could afford back then, but this one actually cost less than some of my dolls! And it's so surprisingly light despite being so big! I remember the first flat-screen TV I bought (which cost three times the amount and BROKE after just over a year; cruddy Dell crap *grumble*) I had to lug it up a flight of stairs and I damn near broke my neck doing it, it was SO heavy.

Anyway! Naturally, I'm having difficulties getting the cable hooked up. It says there is a weak or no signal, despite I've got the cable hooked directly into the television. I'll have to ask my brother the cable guy to help me out, once he gets back from drills this weekend. Until then, I'll subsist on a diet of Netflix, Youtube (Nostalgia Critic!), and Blu-ray movies.

I think you should definately put the offer out there. The worst that can happen is not enough people will be intrested and you can't make the order. I do hope this new artist does well though, I'd love to see what else they'll make!

She emailed me back, and she said that a 30cm doll would cost $350. That's rather expensive, but the doll is stunning. I just need her to email me back on if that's a 10 order minimum at $350 each or if she'll make one for $350. If it's a 10 order minimum I'll totally think about asking the board if they want a "group order". I'll even explain to the artist that it's going to be different people ordering it themselves so everyone can order at their leisure since I don't want people to feel like I'm playing banker. She seems really willing to work with you though, which is incredible. A 30cm version of this doll would just be incredible. It's a bit of a strange doll in terms of not being able to do much with clothing/etc to make it look nice, it's going to be mostly faceups and body blushing that make this doll incredible (though honestly I'd keep the darn thing naked and unblushed, I just adore this sculpt beyond reason), so I think a 30cm version is a perfect size for it. I wonder if anyone else will be interested on the 1/6 board?

It's gonna be gutted of all electronics, and resprayed either red or white depending on whether or not I work out how to reupholster the chairs etc. If I can - it's gonna be like the red rocket from Fear and Loathing with cream internal fittings.

I've been a bit awol between work and a quicky trip up to the big town. However, I got the new shoes I ordered for Lizette & Josephine from paul zangby off ebay. And I picked up a Slo Mo today from Wally world today. I also got a new pair of shoes for me, very vintage looking burgundy suede heels. Oh, and beads...lots and lots of beads.
