Projects: In Progess or Ideas? What'choo Workin' On?

I rescued a singing Belle doll a while back and started working on a dress for her but let it languish for about a year or so when we moved. Finally pulled it out and am almost finished with it today. Such a chore finding where I stashed all of it! Next I'm going to make a hooded cloak for her and make her my Holiday Belle. Her hair was so matted, I had to trim a lot off but I'm going to give her a perm today so at least she'll have some curl. I wish I was better with hair. I'll probably just put in some small side braids to hold it back.

Finished the rough draft of my blueprints to make a pergola for my eventual doll patio. Next on the list is the pool. I'm working out a way to be able to make it look like the doll's are swimming underwater by using two different levels of plexiglass/acrylic sheets.

I need to do a project... I haven't done any for a while, since I've been binging Guild Wars 2 for the past 3 months. I'm taking a break though, and it would be awesome to get a project done while I'm taking a videogame break.

I'm using a ghost kitty rag doll pattern to make a merkitty for a friend's granddaughter's Christmas gift.

New height comparison photo of the resins and the big vinyl dolls needs to be done. Just got to pick a few "off topic" friends, aside from Volbitsus and Blythe, to give people an idea. Unsure if I can reach a Barbie but I can throw in a Funko. Going to add a couple of household objects like a DVD. I think I know where some quilting rulers are.

I have spent the entirety of my free time for the past week trying to make cute Swimsuits for my Rainbow High dolls. I have a pattern from Requiem, so you'd think it'd be easy, but I've had 3 failures, 1 success so far. I got the two piece pattern adjusted, but I need to take in the one piece pattern AGAIN. I'm stinking mad, but I really want my girls to have cute swimsuits so they can live out my fantasy of lying on a beach listening to the waves!

Getting a good fit is why I changed from making patterns to making a book on how to measure any doll and draft your own. I haven't made swimsuits yet but I have done full body leotard super hero suit things.

What I'd tell you to do is take some spare stretch fabric, especially stretch velvet for this step, drape it on the doll and get your basic shape. Take it off the doll then trace around it and neaten it up.
