TTG. I wanted to play D&D for years but never could seem to get a group together in my local area. The only games people play on table tops around here checkers and... checkers. Ha! Though my niece has pulled me into some pretty intense table top games. She's four. Not level four, but four years old. hahahaha... Chutes n' Ladders YO! Now if I could just get a Bag of Holding for all that sweet candy swag... hmm....

We never gamed with miniatures (although I painted a bunch as our characters for fun)... but the first module I went through was AD&D Keep of the Borderlands... in Greyhawk. I hear ya about the imagination. The DM had to be an awesome storyteller to make it come alive. I learned to draw dragons by looking at the art of Elmore and Easley.

Somewhere I should still have my character sheets and stats for Catiana, my elven thief-magic user. (She started as a thief-ACROBAT, that should tell you hold old the books were that our DM was using. ^_~)

That annoying moment when you are finally stress free (Finals are over), and sickness decides to strike you down. >_> My roomie seems be coming down with something. She's been coughing for a couple days now and while it doesn't seem to be getting worse, it isn't going away either. Not fun as she has to drive back to California this weekend and is trying to get a job interview with a company in Reno. =/

Ugh that's annoying Qrinta :( Most of my coworkers seem to be slowly coming down with the flu. I don't know about the babies wing (aka K-3) but our wing is pretty bad right now.

One of my students gave me a teeny, tiny tree for the desk. It's kinda cute, I think I may bring it home for the dollies instead of just putting it with the Christmas ornaments.

We can ride the stegasaurus together. I still play D&D on a regalur basis. Just my husband as the DM and me. No groups, although I wouldn't mind, but it just easier to get together two people rather than trying to work around 5 or so other peoples schedules.

If I could find a good D&D group, oh man I'd jump on that so fast! I used to play before getting married but where we live now the groups suck. There have to be better ones in Seattle (psyching myself up again, lol) but I miss my old group in Alaska.

I know how you feel. After playing/running a number of long term campaigns in a number of different game systems since the late 70's, my last and best campaign (Hyatt came from there) kerploded in 2007, basically because one of the players was a major dick. Haven't played anything since.
On the up side, that is partially responsible for me getting into these 1/3 scale vinyl "miniatures".

My husband wants you to know that some dinosaurs still play that way. He recently finished painting his female half-orc miniature (although I don't know if you can tell it's a female - it is an orc after all) for a gaming group he joined a few months ago. It's a region wide group so he gets to play with different people a lot.

some mammals still rpg without computers too - my group was at my previous uni... My character was a pretty insane wizard (forever summoning uncontrollable demons - which is a very bad idea in the warhammer universe...), she might get dollified one of these days.
